The Property We Are Seeking
The first major physical milestone for Flower of Life House is securing an appropriate residential property in the Clearwater / Pinellas County area.
We are interested in discussing properties that could responsibly accommodate a structured shared-living environment, subject to appropriate zoning, occupancy requirements, licensing or regulatory considerations, insurance, and other applicable requirements.
Potential arrangements may include a conventional lease, master lease, lease with an option to purchase, acquisition opportunity, or another mutually appropriate structure.
We welcome conversations with property owners, landlords, real-estate investors, brokers, property managers, and others who may know of a suitable opportunity.
A Practical Development Strategy
Flower of Life House is being developed deliberately rather than attempting to open before the necessary foundation is in place.
Current development priorities include identifying an appropriate property, refining the operating model, establishing referral and community relationships, understanding applicable regulatory requirements, developing financial projections and startup requirements, and building relationships with professionals whose experience can strengthen the project.
The objective is to create a residence that can operate responsibly, sustainably, and with a clear purpose: helping residents strengthen the practical foundations necessary for stable, independent living.
Why Flower of Life House?
The concept grew from founder Jesse Lee Smith’s long-term personal experience in recovery and years of volunteer service helping others in recovery, including teaching weekly recovery classes to groups of more than 300 residents at The Healing Place.
That experience reinforced a recurring challenge: achieving abstinence or completing treatment can be an important beginning, but building a stable life afterward requires responsibility, productive routines, employment, financial responsibility, healthy relationships, life skills, community involvement, and continued recovery.
Flower of Life House is being developed to help strengthen that bridge between recovery and independent living.
