Flower of Life House grew from Jesse Lee Smith's belief that long-term recovery involves more than simply remaining substance-free. It involves rebuilding a life — developing responsibility, productive routines, meaningful work, healthy relationships, community connection, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Jesse brings more than two decades of lived experience in long-term recovery, together with years of volunteer service helping others in recovery. At The Healing Place, he taught recovery classes on a weekly basis to groups of more than 300 residents. That experience gave him the opportunity to share principles of recovery with people at many different stages of rebuilding their lives and reinforced his belief in the importance of structure, accountability, personal responsibility, fellowship, and service.

His background also includes entrepreneurship, sales, leadership, and community involvement. Together, these experiences inspired the vision for Flower of Life House: a structured transitional recovery residence designed to help adults strengthen the practical foundations needed for stable, independent living.

The goal is not simply to provide a place to live. Flower of Life House is being developed as an environment that encourages residents to become increasingly responsible for their own lives while continuing their recovery. The planned program will emphasize structure and accountability, continued recovery, employment and financial responsibility, life skills, healthy relationships, community involvement, recreation, and progress toward greater independence.

Flower of Life House is currently in development in the Clearwater / Pinellas County, Florida area. Jesse is working to develop the program, identify an appropriate property, establish referral and community relationships, and connect with property owners, recovery professionals, businesspeople, and community partners who may contribute experience, resources, relationships, or opportunities to the project.
